Since January rolled around, I’ve been collecting new music – fresh songs I can dance around my kitchen too and make rhymes up for when I forget the lyrics. While I do love the tracks I’ve accumulated over the years, there is something quite… rejuvenating about new blood. Here are the finds from the past two months:
If you didn’t catch it from my last post, I really love space. So much, in fact, that back in May 2017, I named all the playlists in my bullet journal after various celestial bodies.
Smelling an old scent is proven to be the strongest trigger of long-forgotten memories I keep my old perfume bottles tucked away in my cupboard for this very reason and in a sense, I do the same thing with songs: hide them away in the corners of playlists so when they play, I can time travel.
As foreshadowed in my first blog post, I’d like to be able to both write long elaborate prose pieces, and document my life in lists. And what better list than a playlist of my top songs from 2018!
