A haphazard poem of varying rhythms and questionable rhymes. What a perfect metaphor for twenty-eighteen.
On the first of December, Christmas begins.
Smelling an old scent is proven to be the strongest trigger of long-forgotten memories I keep my old perfume bottles tucked away in my cupboard for this very reason and in a sense, I do the same thing with songs: hide them away in the corners of playlists so when they play, I can time travel.
As foreshadowed in my first blog post, I’d like to be able to both write long elaborate prose pieces, and document my life in lists. And what better list than a playlist of my top songs from 2018!
You’ve heard the call too, haven’t you? As you peered off the side of a tall place, haven’t you heard that voice asking what would happen if you just… fell? Jumping off cliffs is not a good idea – but don’t let that stop you when there’s a safe landing to answer.
